The Center
In partnering with Trinitas we have joined a collaborative team of doctors, technicians, patient advocates, and professionals to design a state-of-the-art facility that expands and enhance the services currently available.
What drew us to Trinitas is best described by its President and CEO Gary Horan, FACHE, who pointed out that our missions were actually a perfect match – and that is: to provide excellent, compassionate healthcare to all people, especially those among us who are poor and vulnerable.
“Thanks to Connie’s empathy, sensitivity, and generosity, the patients of our region will have a state-of-the-art facility designed for best possible outcomes and compassionate care,” says Nadine Brechner, Chief Development Officer and Vice President Trinitas Health Foundation.
A New Approach to Caring
From the moment a woman enters the Connie Dwyer Breast Center at Trinitas, she encounters a totally different hospital experience. Our aim is not only to provide early detection and healing but to improve the entire experience of caring for a patient.
Patients are welcomed into a serene reception area and waiting room, where they are greeted by a bilingual staff. The Center is equipped with three mammography suites – one of which offers advanced 3D imaging – allowing radiologists to view the breast in several layers.
The foundation is currently in our second year of a $1m pledge to help fund the purchase of a new MRI suite for the hospital. Advanced MRI screenings will be available to all hospital patients. The new MRI suite is scheduled to be installed by the second quarter of 2020 replacing a 15 year old unit.
We have accomplished a great deal, but our mission to provide comprehensive screening, diagnosis and treatment is ongoing. We are laser-focused on continuing our life-saving work to bring healing and hope to the women of Elizabeth and beyond.
