This year our annual Spring Luncheon was held on April 20th at the Canoe Brook Country Club in Summit, New Jersey. Over 250 guests attended to hear Pulitzer-Prize winning correspondent from the Washington Post, Kevin Sullivan speak. He and his wife Mary Jordan, also a Pulitzer Prize winning journalist with the Post, are authors of the number #1 bestselling book, Hope: A Memoir of Survival in Cleveland, that was released in April, 2015. Sullivan discussed how he and Jordan approached the sensitive nature of writing the book along with Amanda Berry and Gina DeJesus, the two women who were kidnapped and held for a decade in Cleveland, Jordan’s hometown.
The Connie Dwyer Breast Cancer Foundation annual Spring Luncheon series offers a chance for friends to get together and hear pertinent speakers discuss interesting topics. The date of the Spring Luncheon for 2018 has not been announced yet. Please check here after the first of the year.
